Because “Da 5 Bloods” bombed so badly, perhaps this film can provide a reprieve. As you’ll see, it does a better job than most American productions, even though it comes up short in other ways.
The movie aims to intertwine poignant issues of race, war and progress but largely misses the mark by failing to pay attention to detail while forcing too much Hollywood derivative into the story. We won’t say it’s not worth watching, but we also won’t tell you to run with scissors. So read our review instead!
