The Gritty One: The Observatory

With one of the best sound systems in Saigon, The Observatory prides itself on introducing international and local DJs playing underground electro-techno music.

The club is at the top of a small building located in Cach Mang Thang Tam, not far from the Galaxy Cinema of Nguyen Du. It has no bells or whistles, no lavish decor or pretentious embellishments. The club is all about great music – although there is a much-needed large rooftop space, if the heady beats get a little too much. Indoors, the dark ambiance suits well with the techno-underground style. That’s what regulars love about it.

In the last few years, The Observatory has held several reopening parties, so better keep an eye on their Facebook page for updates. Their events, deals and opening hours are subject to frequent change.
